The product I am reviewing is as described below:
1. microsoft wireless keyboard 3000 (Model WURO563)
MS part no: x815835-001
2. Microsoft wireless desktop receiver 3.1 , Model 1028
3. Microsoft laser mouse 5000, model :1058.
Above three are sold together as combo package for about 54$
CONS: the wireless receiver can slow down even the fastest ibm laptop T60p. That means both your keyboard and mouse performance is impacted.
I observed that this caused missed clicks and delay in seeing the response of click, for example you click on new browser tab and it may take upto mintue for that to actually change tab on browser.
While this depends how busy your pc is but it does not happen if i use my adesso wireless keyboard/mouse combo.
MAJOR CONS: ther is only 2 batteries in keyboard/mouse, may be that is causing low range and low signal quality even when receiver and keyboard/mouse is so close to each other. the software says low signal quality.
Compared to this my other adesso keyboard mouse works from several feet away across the room.
Given this above the keyboard/mouse deserve only two stars.
PROS: the keyboard itself is very good. even the mouse features are good. by that I mean if we convert this keyboard and mouse to being wired instead of wireless then I would give this 4.5 stars.
So if you are buying this make sure you are okay with low signal quality and make sure u have hi performance desktop to use with.

It isn’t fancy but it gets the job done. RF wireless has none of the drawbacks of the Bluetooth and battery life is good. I use many of these in a business environment

Recieved in good condition. Installed, and am very happy. Keyboard has a great feel. Mouse tracks brilliantly. Would highly recommend for the price.

234eMall advertised a unit as being “like new”, yet it arrived with numerous deep scratches. When I wrote a bad review, I was contacted and given a sob story about how he was a 67 year old man and this was his only source of income. He promised he would send a replacement if I removed my negative feedback. I did so, and he never sent the replacement. Instead I received the following email when I asked where my replacement was:
you are just another snotty amazon customer.
we do not care about idiots like you anymore and have stopped dealing with amazon as well.
go ahead, make my day, you coward.

I bought this keybord knowng that it wasnot longrange 2.4 gz. it does ood up to about 6 feet. But I use inmy living room, where my computer it connected to my t and. The reciever is about six feet to the couch gve or tke a few inches. it works great, sure it take a while to get used to being able to adjustyour self the the area th reciever can pick up but. im not that picky and I only need totwo cable for my computer to b 16ft away and have he keyboard and laser mouse to work. My atlona flat 23ft hdm cable an my belkin active usb 2.0 extention. I would say the keyboard and mouse work great.
