Works with both our iMac and my Sony Viao. No problems with this nifty little mouse. No problems at all. I’m happy to report this little baby is sweet.

Ok so I need to address the obvious. Is this truly “nano” size? Absolutely not! The mouse itself is about the size of 80% the length of an iPod touch but with a lot more girth. So whats nano about the mouse? The dongle.

Naming conventions aside, I would still have to give the mouse good reviews, why?

Because the mouse was very accurate in movement. It reacted in the same movement and sped as my hand and that is importanat when working with spreadsheets on a day to day basis. By far a better mouse than the Kensington slim blade (seen in photos). Honestly I will be using this as my primary mouse. Its just so smooth and fluid.

Now as for gaming, forget it. This should be used for normal run of the mill computer work (surfing, spreadsheet, word docs, etc.).

So 2 stars for the size (nano it is not) see my pics

And 4 stars for the accuracy of movement.

Bottom line 3 Stars. Had they not called this a “nano” mouse it certainly would have been borderline 4 star mouse.

    This mouse just feels right.

I could easily leave it at that but I’m longwinded so I’ll go into detail:

The mouse has a perfect shape and size that allows for frequent use when browsing the internet or working with software programs such as GIMP or Photoshop. I found though that for video games I didn’t think the mouse felt right (but wireless mice for video games sounds like a bad idea altogether anyhow).

The mouse was quickly noticed by my computer and I was able to jump right into use with little delay. This surprised me considering I figured the wireless aspect of this would make setup a pain.

All in all I think the mouse is a great fit for any computer and while gaming use is a little limited it fulfills its role as a definite easy to put away and take out alternative to the clunky mice of the past.

I made the switch to a macbook this past year from an aging PC desktop. I’ve been using the touchpad for everything on my macbook as I hated the mac mouse when I tried it and the other cordless I have had a big USB adapater sticking out that was forever almost getting broken off and avoiding ruining my USB plug is a priority.

However sometimes you need a mouse, and since my daughter is now obsessed with building spore creatures we needed one to scroll and make parts bigger, enter this mouse. The only thing that is nano is the usb adapter, the mouse is a perfect size for an adult and very comfortable in your hand. I hate installing extra software so I was thrilled to see it worked perfectly just by plugging it in and I can easily switch back and forth between using the mouse or my touchpad without removing the usb adapater.

I have no complaints at all, it works great on my desktop without a pad, equally well on my lapboard, the usb adapter is tiny and if needed easily stores right in the mouse. Plus they come in several cute colors and all for around $20-25… SOLD!

For a bit over $25, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect out of a company that doesn’t really specialize in computer hardware (I think of Verbatim as a media company, not a computer accessory company.) While the mouse works just fine with my MacBook Pro in terms of tracking and wireless connectivity, it doesn’t have the same quality feel as the Logitech or a Microsoft mouse.

The most notable lacking feature, for me, is a tilt wheel for side scrolling. There’s no easy way to scroll side by side with this mouse. In fact, the rubber on the scroll wheel is cheap; it actually peels off easy if you’re hard on it. The buttons are otherwise fine (I don’t really care for extra buttons on the side) and the “nano” size receiver is very convenient, and it stores nicely on the bottom of the mouse.

Another minor gripe by me, and perhaps because I’m used to higher end mice, is the fact that the optical sensor uses a bright red light. Many new mice are using lasers or ultraviolet (read: invisible) lights. But again, this doesn’t affect the functionality of the pointing device.

To sum it up, my negatives are more about the build quality of the device, rather than the actual functionality. I suppose this comes with this sort of price tag, though I think Microsoft and Logitech have similar choices at a cost that isn’t much higher.
